Our Story

Millwood Village is a close-knit neighborhood where residents come together to create a vibrant and welcoming community. Our neighborhood association, guided by our Bylaws, works tirelessly to organize events, maintain common areas, and foster a sense of belonging among neighbors. From community clean-up days to social gatherings, we strive to make Millwood Village a place we are all proud to call home. Meet The Current Board of Directors

Board of Directors' Responsibilities

Each board member within Millwood Village is responsible for specific roles within the community.  At the Annual Meeting each year (held within the month of March),  the roles are reassigned within the Board for the following year as to which elected board member shall be presiding over which specific role.  Aside from attending scheduled periodic HOA board meetings and providing their vote on a committee of five (5) total board members, their respective duties are as follows (for more information, please refer to the Community Bylaws, Article XI): 

Board Member's Roles and Responsibilities

President

  • Responsible for calling, organizing, and presiding over all Association meetings

  • Responsible for calling, organizing, and presiding all Board of Directors meetings

  • Serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Association

  • Responsible for Community Outreach for Investigation of Association Business Options

  • Has power to appoint committees (where necessary) to assist in the affairs of the Association

Vice President

  • Presides over all Association meetings where President is absent or unable to act.

  • Serves as President Pro Tempor in the event that the President is unable to fulfill duties / be present

  • Maintains the official website for the Association

  • Serves as Social & Community Outreach Committee chair

  • Performs other assigned duties as agreed upon by the Board of Directors (as needed)

Secretary

  • Records minutes for every meeting held and disseminates them to the entire Association following each meeting

  • Retains all documentation received by the Association on behalf of the Board of Directors​

  • Records listings for recommended service providers

  • Responsible for Corporate Seal of the Association (where applicable)

  • Co-Manages the Board of Directors Email Account and all other Official Association Correspondence delivery methods

  • Performs other assigned duties as agreed upon by the Board of Directors (as needed)

Treasurer

  • Tracks finances for all Association business transactions

  • Creates fiscal projections for future outlook conditions

  • Writes / Submits checks and payments for Association business transactions with subcontractors

  • Handles all assessments, dues, and fees for the Association

  • Manages Association Financial Accounts

  • Provides all pertinent financial information for Tax Documentation and Filings

  • Provides fully transparent Treasurer's Report at Annual Meeting

Member-at-Large

  • Maintainer of Active Current Issues List and Approvals Tracker for Historical Documentation

  • Lead Chair for Volunteer Committee

  • Performs other assigned duties as agreed upon by the Board of Directors (as needed)

  • Serves as voting tie-breaker if split-decision is observed

  • Vendor quote investigation for active maintenance issue resolution
